Looking for the best branding partners?

Everyone can say that their branding agency is the best.

At CJAM Marketing we have interviewed well over 40+ branding agencies and only partnered with the ones that do it well. By being a marketing broker, we can  match your business branding goals to the right branding partners.

First, let’s establish a definition of branding.

What does branding mean?

Branding is the process of identifying the visuals and messaging of your brand. Through branding, the goal is to create psychological and emotional associations with your logo, colors, typeface, and messaging. This helps your customer identify and pass on your brand to others. When done correctly, branding can spread from person to person, allowing businesses to grow.

How to find the best branding partners?

When you are looking for the best branding agency for your business, it is difficult to figure out who is the best fit.  There are tons of contractors and agencies to choose from. Each does branding differently and has many packages to choose from.

A few questions to first consider before trying to find the right branding agency:

  1. Are you starting a new brand or rebranding?
  2. Are you an established business or starting a new one?
  3. What is your budget?
  4. Are you looking for visual branding or messaging? Or both?
  5. How in-depth do you want the branding engagement to be?
  6. Do you have a strong sense of your brand or do you need to figure it out?
  7. Are you looking to go through multiple revisions?
  8. Do you need branding that will just get you started?

Once you know the answers to these questions, it becomes easier to find the right branding agency to help your business.

How much does branding cost?

This comes down to the type of branding you want.

If you are looking for simple visual branding which includes logo, typography, and colors in a document, the typical starting cost is around $2500 for branding companies in Vancouver. Sure, you can find it cheaper. But on average, to have someone talented working on your business, I’d recommend that as a starting point. Otherwise, if you are using a branding agency in Vancouver and the cost is lower, you are likely getting outsourced services.

You may be looking for brand messaging that is more involved, and you need a number of meetings, workshops, and research. These engagements typically start at $5,000 and go up from there.

If you are combining both visual and messaging in branding, you can save costs on overlap as the discovery sessions and workshops help both sides.

Branding for website - the hidden benefit:

When you complete a branding engagement, it ultimately improves your website design. All  aspects of your brand should be used throughout the channels you use. The businesses that have a brand guideline ultimately come across stronger than those who don’t. A great designer can take your branding guidelines and bring them to life across your website, social media, and documents
